Google Business Profile Management in Denver

Google Business Profile management for Denver service businesses. The map pack drives the calls, and the primary category is the lever most profiles get wrong.

Google Business Profile

Included in local SEO from $750 a month. Not sold on its own, because a profile with no website behind it hits a ceiling fast.

The three businesses at the top of the map get the call. Everyone else gets scrolled past.

For a Service Business, the Profile Out-Earns the Website

It sits above the normal results and it has a call button on it. Someone searching for a plumber on a phone can tap and be talking to you without ever loading a website.

Your site still matters, and it feeds the profile, but the map pack is where the call actually starts. Most people never scroll past it.

Which means the largest single factor in whether your phone rings is a free listing you already own and have probably not touched in two years.

What Gets Done, and How Often

01

Photos from real jobs, weekly.

Crews, trucks, completed work, uploaded with descriptive filenames. Stock photography does nothing here and buyers can tell. Activity is itself a ranking signal, so this runs weekly rather than at setup.

02

The services section, fully written.

Every service listed with a real description rather than a bare label. Google reads these, and so do AI assistants when they answer a local question, which is increasingly where the wording matters.

03

Questions seeded and answered.

Most profiles leave this empty. Ten real questions you answer yourself is free, extractable content sitting on the highest-traffic surface you own, and almost nobody uses it.

04

Every review answered inside 48 hours.

Replies are an activity signal, and the reply gets read by the next person deciding whether to call you. Steady beats a burst: a few every month beats forty from three years ago, because recent reviews weigh most.

05

Reviews asked for from the truck.

Text and QR templates your crew sends before leaving the driveway, while it is fresh. Ask them to name the job and the town, because that is the wording that gets matched and quoted.

06

A grid scan every month.

The same points across your service radius, re-run. You watch red turn green. It is the only report I send, because it is the only one that maps to whether the phone rang.

One Dropdown Decides More Than Anything Else You Can Change, and a Different One Can Take the Whole Profile Away

Your primary category tells Google which searches you are eligible to appear in at all. Not how well you rank in them. Whether you are in the running. It is one field, and a lot of profiles have it wrong.

Set once and never revisited, chosen the week the profile was created for a service you no longer lead with. Or too vague to compete: Contractor when you are a roofer, and the broad category loses to the specific one every time.

Secondary categories left empty, when you can hold several and each one opens a set of searches you are otherwise invisible for. Or a competitor quietly changed theirs, jumped the map, and nothing told you.

This is why the scan comes first. A category correction can move your position in weeks with no build, no content and no monthly fee, and when that is the answer I will say so rather than quote you a rebuild.

The same field-level carelessness works in the other direction, and that side is quieter. Suspension is real, it happens to real businesses, and you find out when the calls stop. Appeals take weeks, during which you are invisible in Maps.

Keywords stuffed into the business name is the most common cause. Then editing the address casually, which triggers reverification and can put you offline for weeks.

Then a service area that does not match reality, like claiming the whole Front Range from a single van. Then buying reviews, which Google detects, strips, and penalises the profile for afterwards.

So if anyone offers to put your city in your business name to rank faster, understand the trade being offered: a short-term bump against your entire Maps presence. It is not worth it.

One field, both directions

Weeks How fast a primary category correction can move you, with no build and no content.
Weeks How long a suspension appeal takes, during which you are invisible in Maps.

The profile is free, you already own it, and Google can switch it off. That combination is not true of anything else in your marketing, and it is why this gets treated as a live asset rather than a setup task.

How It Works

Week 0

The grid scan.

A scan from dozens of points across your service area, green where you rank and red where you do not. It shows the exact streets you are invisible on, and it is yours whether or not you hire me.

Week 1

Categories and structure.

Primary category corrected, secondaries researched and added, every service written out, service area matched against what your site and listings say. This is the part that can move rankings on its own.

Ongoing

Run like an employee.

Weekly posts from real jobs, fresh photos, Q&A kept current, every review answered inside 48 hours. Activity is a signal and it decays if you stop.

Month 3

The checkpoint.

Category and profile fixes can move things within weeks, which makes this the fastest part of local SEO. If the calls have not come by month three, billing pauses.

What It Costs

From $750

A month, as part of local SEO rather than a separate line. I do not sell profile management on its own, because a profile with no website behind it hits a ceiling quickly and selling it alone would be taking money for a result I could not hold up.

The grid scan itself costs nothing and asking for it does not put you on a sales list. It shows your map, the blocks you are missing from, and what it would take to fix.

The full monthly programme is on the local SEO page. If your website is also the problem, that is the redesign conversation.

Profile Questions, Answered

What is a Google Business Profile?

It is the listing that shows your business in Google Maps and in the block of three businesses at the top of local search results. It is free, Google owns it, and for most service businesses it produces more calls than the website does.

Why does the map pack matter more than my website?

Because it sits above the normal results and it has a call button on it. Someone searching for a plumber on a phone can tap and be talking to you without ever loading a website. Your site still matters, and it feeds the profile, but the map pack is where the call actually starts.

What is the biggest mistake on most profiles?

The primary category. It is the single biggest lever in the map pack and a surprising number of profiles have a vague one, or one chosen years ago for a service the business no longer leads with. Changing it can move rankings on its own, before anything else is touched.

Can I rank in a town where I do not have an office?

Often yes, within range. Google weighs how close you are to the person searching, so a Parker business can compete across Douglas County and into south Denver. Central Denver from Parker is hard. The grid scan shows you exactly how far your reach actually goes.

How much does profile management cost?

It is included in local SEO, which runs from $750 a month. I do not sell profile management on its own, because a profile with no website behind it hits a ceiling quickly and I would rather not take money for that.

What the monthly programme covers →

How long before I show up in the map pack?

Category and profile fixes can move things within weeks, which makes this the fastest part of local SEO. Reviews and links build over months. And should month three arrive without more calls coming in, the billing goes on pause.

Can my Google profile get suspended?

Yes, and it happens to real businesses. The usual causes are keywords stuffed into the business name, a service area set up wrong, or an address edited casually. A suspension can take weeks to appeal, during which you are invisible in Maps.

How many reviews do I need?

A steady stream matters more than a big number. Recent reviews carry more weight than old ones, so ten spread across the year beats forty from three years ago. Ask customers to mention the service and the town, because that is the text Google and AI tools read.

Do you post to my profile every week?

Yes. Posts from real jobs, fresh photos of crews and completed work, and the services section kept current. Activity is a signal, and it is also what people look at when deciding whether you are still in business.

What is a grid audit?

A scan that checks your map pack position from dozens of points across your service area, then colours them green where you rank and red where you do not. It shows the exact streets you are invisible on. It is free and it is yours whether or not you hire me.

Where I Work

Based in Parker, Colorado. How far your profile actually reaches depends on your address rather than on your ambition, and the grid scan is the thing that settles that argument before anyone spends money.
