Website builder means two things. A tool like Wix or Squarespace that you use yourself, or a person in Parker who builds the site for you. I have been both. My own site ran on Wix for years before I moved it, so this page tells you which one you need, what each costs over two years, and the two cases where the honest answer is do not hire me yet.
What the cheapest honest builder plan costs over two years, where a built-for-you site starts, and what one did for a client fifteen minutes from Parker.
$426
Two years on Wix Light
The cheapest Wix plan that removes Wix ads is $17.77 a month billed yearly. Over two years that is $426, before apps, a domain after year one, and your own evenings.

Where a built site starts
A three page custom site, once, in your name, with nothing to pay monthly to keep it alive. A twenty page build is $6,500. Most Parker businesses land near $3,500.

A Highlands Ranch electrician is first on Google for his main search. One page per service did that. No drag-and-drop builder has a setting for it.
Rank tracking, March to August 2026
The rank report and the call screen are on the Parker web design page.
Half the people typing it want a tool. Half want a person. Three things to know before you decide which one you are.
Wix, Squarespace and GoDaddy are tools. You drag blocks onto a page and pay monthly for as long as the site exists. A website builder in Parker, in the other sense, is somebody who writes the pages, builds them, points your Google listing at them and hands you the keys. The tool is cheap in month one and takes your evenings for weeks. The person costs more once and takes forty minutes of your time. This graphic puts them side by side.
Wix prints $17.77 to $39.77 a month for its main plans, Squarespace $19 to $49, both billed yearly. Over two years that is $426 to $1,176 for the plan alone, and at year three the bill is still coming. A three page site built for you here is $1,500 once, then nothing. Apps, a domain after the free first year, and your own time are extra on every builder plan and are not in this chart.
For years this business ran on Wix and it was fine, right up until I was competing for Parker and Castle Rock searches against companies with clean, fast, one-page-per-service sites. A builder has to ship code for every feature anyone might use, so every page carries weight your page does not need. On a phone on a cell signal in a Parker driveway, that is the difference between a page that opens and one that gets closed. This is a vehicle wrap shop's site built the other way: plain, fast, one page per job.
A promise only counts if you can check it. Here is how you check each one.
The teardown says which you need, in writing. Two of the four answers usually mean do not hire me yet.
→On the monthly work, calls are counted at month three. If they have not moved, I keep working free.
→Files on hosting in your name. Take it anywhere. Stop paying nobody and it stays up.
→Brand new with no reviews and no listing? A $17 page and a Google Business Profile is a fine start, and the money belongs in the listing. Edit your site every month and enjoy it? Keep the builder. Losing to someone on page one in Parker? That is the one that means hire somebody, and it is the only reason I moved my own site.
Templates give you a Services page with a list on it. Google ranks pages, one per search. A home inspector gets a page for pre-purchase inspections and one for radon testing, each written for what people in 80134 and 80138 type. This is a one-inspector business built that way.
The listing is the box on the map with your hours, reviews and number. For a Parker small business it often sends more calls than the site does. It gets set up for both ZIP codes, in your account, and connected to the pages. This is a Centennial client's dashboard after that work.
Reviews on Google
Copied word for word from Google. Two are cut off where Google cuts them.

Chris is the best at what he does! I have never experienced such high quality service with other marketing outfits. Chris listens and doesn't push you to sign up for more than what you need.

Close enough to show up on the Google map from a Parker address. I build for businesses throughout Parker, including companies serving customers in 80134 and 80138, and the towns fifteen minutes out.

If you mean a tool, Squarespace for a clean site with no effort and Wix if you want more apps and will edit it yourself. Both are fine for a brochure site. If you mean a person, the test is whether they print a price, show a client's call log next to the rankings, and register everything in your name.
On 1 October 2026 Wix prints $17.77 a month for Light, $29.77 for Core and $39.77 for Business, all billed yearly. Squarespace prints $19, $29 and $49 for Basic, Core and Plus. Apps and a domain after the first year are extra.
For your own business name, yes. For competitive searches like electrician parker co, it is harder, because builder pages are heavy on a phone and templates push you toward one Services page instead of one page per service. It can be done. It is just slower, and the ceiling is lower.
Four questions. Is anyone searching for you yet? Do you edit the site every month? Are you losing to someone on page one in Parker? Do you need to own the site rather than rent it? Two of those answers usually mean use the tool for now. The third one means hire somebody.
Up to a point, yes. The head tags, the page structure, the Google listing and the words are usually most of the available gain, and I will do that work on your builder site. What I cannot do is make the platform lighter than it is, and I will say so before you pay.
You own the domain if it is registered to you, and you own the words and photos. You do not own the site itself. Stop paying and it goes dark, and you cannot move it to another host. A built site is files on hosting in your name and goes wherever you take it.
$1,500 for a three page site to $6,500 for twenty pages, once, with most Parker businesses near $3,500. The number is in writing before anything starts. The companies on page one for Parker that print a price run $495 to $12,000.
Every Parker page on this site.
I'll show you the three Parker businesses beating you in your own ZIP code, and tell you honestly whether a builder plan or a built site is the right next step. Forty-eight hours, no call required. Yours to keep.
$47, free if you go ahead with any service. If you do not see an increase in calls by month three, I work for free until you do.
